Keanu Charles Reeves (nacido el 2 de septiembre de 1964) es un actor libanés, nacionalizado canadiense, célebre por su papel en la trilogía Matrix. Nació en Beirut (Líbano) el 2 de septiembre de 1964. El nombre Keanu es originario de Hawai, isla de la que proviene su padre. Éste significa "brisa fresca sobre las colinas". Tras el abandono de su padre, su madre Patricia se mudó a Canadá, donde Keanu y su hermana Kim crecieron. Desde muy joven, Keanu sintió inclinación por el hockey sobre hielo, a lo que se dedicó con mayor ahínco que a la escuela, donde le apodaban "El muro". Su debut en la pantalla grande fue en la película Youngblood (1986) donde interpretó al arquero del equipo de hockey. Por sus éxitos de taquilla como Speed y Matrix, se ha ganado un sitio en Hollywood. Recientemente le fue concedida una Estrella de la Fama en el Boulevard de Hollywood y el Premio Taurus Stunt Movie Awards por su actuación en películas de riesgo.
